Chris graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2018 and entered mixed practice in East Sussex, before focusing solely on farm animal work. He moved to APHA Thirsk as a Veterinary Investigation Officer in 2024 and is part of the Pig Expert Group. He is currently working on a project comparing current and historic Streptococcus suis isolates across England and Wales and how the use of diagnostic testing can benefit antimicrobial stewardship on pig farms.
