Dave is currently an ACVIM resident in Veterinary Cardiology at Bristol Vet Specialists, Bristol, UK. Dave graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2017 and worked in small animal general practice for two years before returning to the RVC in 2019 to complete his rotating internship. He stayed on and completed his three-year residency in Emergency and Critical Care at the RVC, finishing in July 2023 and achieving ACVECC specialist status in October 2023 and ECVECC specialist status in March 2024. He worked in a large private practice referral centre in the West Midlands for three years before pursuing a second residency in veterinary cardiology. He maintains several ECC roles including teleconsultancy for a busy USA-based emergency practice, providing consultancy on the VIN Emergency Medicine folder, and is an academic editor for the Journal of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care. He has a particular interest in point-of-care ultrasound, haemodynamics and cardiac critical care, and hopes to contribute to progressing the field of critical care echocardiography in veterinary medicine.
