Dr. Ava Firth

Dr. Ava Firth earned her DVM from Ohio State University in 1986 and has been a trailblazer in veterinary emergency and critical care. She founded Australia’s first emergency and critical care service at the University of Melbourne in 1992 and later worked at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Firth has contributed to disaster medicine and emergency clinic training in the UK, leading clinical education for Vets Now for 13 years. Currently Director of R&D at Tonisity International, she develops products for critical care nutrition. She is board-certified in emergency and critical care by both the American and European colleges.
