Duncan graduated in 1991 from the University of Glasgow and obtained his certificate in orthopaedics from the RCCVS in 1996. He became an Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Orthopaedics in 2015. He is a tutor for Securos courses and his interests include minimally invasive fracture fixation, locking plates and the treatment of cruciate ligament disease
