Graduating from the University of Bristol in 2014, Elliott went on to work in mixed farm and exotics practice, working with private and commercial poultry. Following establishing his own mobile avian and zoo/exotics practice in 2019, Elliott now works as a zoo and wildlife consultant veterinary surgeon for the International Zoo Veterinary Group.
