Fiona is director of MacVet Cattle Communications Limited, a consultancy service that also provides training in communication skills for vets.
She previously worked in technical and marketing roles within the animal health industry, and spent 8 years in clinical veterinary practice.
Fiona has a Master of Research degree; the subject of her thesis was nonverbal communication between vets and farmer during routine consultations. Understanding how nonverbal and verbal communication can improve interactions forms a core part of her trainings.
Fiona volunteers her time to support the not-for-profit Veterinary Marketing Association, and is currently serving as Chair of the VMA Annual Awards sub-committee.
She is also a qualified personal trainer, enjoys indoor rowing and strength training. In her spare time, she can be found cruising the canals with her husband and cat.
