Fiona is director of MacVet Cattle Communications Limited, a consultancy service that also provides training in communication skills for vets working in farm animal practice. She previously worked in the animal health industry and veterinary practice. Fiona completed a Master of Research degree at the University of Nottingham in 2022. The subject of her thesis was nonverbal communication between vets and farmer during routine consultations. She has incorporated the knowledge she gained from this research into her training sessions, to help vets better understand how ‘body language’ can influence their interactions with farmers. Fiona sits on the Veterinary Marketing Association Committee. She is also a qualified personal trainer and enjoys indoor rowing. In her spare time, she can be found cruising the canals with her husband and cat.
