
Floryne Buishand

Floryne Buishand qualified from Utrecht University in 2010 and completed a rotating internship there. Subsequently she started her ECVS residency at Utrecht and in 2016, she completed her PhD on canine and human insulinoma. She then went on to perform postdoctoral research at The National Cancer Institute (NCI) / NIH, USA. In 2018, she accepted a position as Lecturer in Small Animal Surgery at the University of Edinburgh. Subsequently in 2021, she started her Lectureship in Small Animal Soft Tissue Surgery at The Royal Veterinary College. Floryne is an RCVS and European recognised Specialist in Small Animal Surgery.
