Gwen Rees

Gwen is currently Junior Vice President of the British Veterinary Association. She is Lecturer in Veterinary Science at Aberystwyth University and Head of Veterinary Development at Mentera. She graduated as vet from Liverpool in 2009, working in mixed, farm and equine practice in Wales and New Zealand. Gwen completed her PhD at the University of Bristol, researching prescription veterinary medicine use on UK dairy farms. Gwen is Principal Investigator on the Arwain DGC project, leading the award-winning Veterinary Prescribing Champions Network in Wales. Gwen is President of BVA Welsh Branch, a Trustee of the Animal Welfare Foundation and sits on the Welsh Government AMR Delivery Group Board.
