Professor Hany Elsheikha is a Chair Professor of Interdisciplinary Parasitology at the University of Nottingham. He is also a diplomate of the European Veterinary Parasitology College, Head of the European Scientific Counsel for Companion Animal Parasites UK & Ireland, and a Fellow of Advance HE. His key research interests include host-parasite interactions, antiparasitic drug discovery, parasite evolution, and parasites of public health importance. Professor Elsheikha has published over 300 peer-reviewed papers and numerous articles in professional magazines and science communication journals. Additionally, he has authored nine books on veterinary, tropical, and medical parasitology for students, residents, and professionals.
