Professor of Small Animal Internal Medicine, Royal Veterinary College
Harriet (Hattie) graduated from the Royal Veterinary College, London in 1994. She completed an internship there, and then an internship and residency in small animal internal medicine at Purdue University, USA. She then returned to the RVC to complete a PhD studying feline hypertension and stayed on as a lecturer/senior lecturer/professor. Her main clinical and research interests are in the fields of urology/nephrology, hypertension and endocrinology. Much of her research stems from a clinic run in a first-opinion charity clinic in London where she, and a team of veterinary-qualified PhD students, sees geriatric cats with common problems including CKD, hypertension and hyperthyroidism.
