Helen Carty qualified from Edinburgh and following four years in mixed practice in Renfrewshire moved to SRUC Veterinary Services, based in Ayr in southwest Scotland in 2007. Her work includes farm animal pathology, disease investigation, reporting on surveillance, in addition to Premium Cattle Health Scheme technical support. She also collaborates closely with the University of Glasgow and performs diagnostic farm animal postmortem examinations there, contributing to undergraduate and postgraduate education. She completed her Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice (Cattle) in 2015.
