Henry Cloete graduated with a BVSc from the University of Pretoria, South Africa, in 2019 and subsequently completed an MSc investigating the prevalence of tick-borne co-infections in dogs in the Eastern Cape province of South Africa. He completed his residency training in Small Animal Internal Medicine at the University of Liverpool in May 2026 and now works as a clinician in the University's Small Animal Teaching Hospital. His clinical interests include infectious diseases, haematological disorders, and immune-mediated conditions. Henry has a strong interest in academia, One Health, and advancing veterinary medicine within the African context through research, specialist training, and capacity building.
