Ingmar studied bioscience engineering at the KU Leuven, graduated in 2007 and obtained a PhD in Bioscience Engineering (cell and gene technology) in 2011. He conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Antwerp in the laboratory of Prof. Sarah Lebeer and previously served as vice president of Pharmabiotic Research Institute. Drawing on his expertise in probiotics and their molecular mechanisms, he co-founded YUN Probiotherapy. As CSO, he leads scientific strategy and R&D for topical microbiome-based products using live beneficial bacteria to restore skin and mucosal health.
