After graduating from the University of Bristol in 1977, Janet undertook further clinical training at the University of Pennsylvania and University of Cambridge veterinary schools before heading up the dermatology service at the Animal Health Trust. Here she developed an ongoing interest in equine dermatology. For the past 20 years, she has been running her own referral service for dermatological conditions in companion animals and is a consultant at Rossdales Equine Hospital, Newmarket. Janet has an international reputation in the field and is renowned for her enthusiasm. During the beginning of the pandemic, she undertook a major role in producing the second edition of Practical Equine Dermatology, now published. For the first half of 2022, Janet has been on sabbatical, working with Animal Dermatology Clinic, Perth, WA. Outside of work she enjoys singing, knitting and time with family.
