Janey Lowes
BVMedSci (Hons) BVM BVS CertAVP MRCVS,
Founder,
WECare Worldwide
Dr Janey Lowes graduated from Nottingham Vet School in 2012 and began her career in UK general practice before following her passion for emergency and charitable work overseas. In 2014, she founded WECare Worldwide, a Sri Lanka–based NGO that now employs over 70 staff and treats more than 10,000 street animals each year. Alongside building WECare, Janey worked part-time in Dubai’s only 24-hour veterinary hospital and completed her CertAVP. Her clinical interests include tropical disease, reconstructive and trauma surgery, and her driving mission is simple but ambitious: that no dog — street or owned — should go without veterinary care.
