Dr Jo Miller has over 20 years of cell culture experience in both large pharmaceutical companies and smaller veterinary specialist regenerative medicine companies. Jo studied for her PhD in cell culture at Leeds University , has worked in veterinary regenerative medicine for over 14 years and has been science director and managing director at Cell Therapy Sciences for over 10 years.
She is keen to encourage and enable research into why mesenchymal stem cells work so well in osteoarthritis in dogs and would like to help apply this to human regenerative medicine. She has presented research at the BSAVA Congress on several occasions and has also spoken several times at international stem cell congresses. Recently, Jo has co-authored a key publication on the efficacy of autologous mesenchymal stem cells in the treatment of canine orthopaedic disorders and is working towards further publications in this area.
