John Crook BSc CSci FIBMS joined Woodley as the Biomedical Technical Manager in the summer of 2013. Prior to this he had spent 30 years working in the NHS in pathology laboratories. John studied Biology at Salford University and after graduating started work in a local pathology laboratory and then went on to study for a post graduate qualification at Manchester Metropolitan University before obtaining Fellowship of the Institute of Biomedical Scientists. Prior to joining Woodley he was the Chief Biomedical Scientist managing a team of Biomedical Scientists in a Blood Sciences Laboratory. John has a background mainly in Haematology and Blood transfusion but has also worked in Biochemistry and Microbiology laboratories. He has a strong interest in blood coagulation, automation and Laboratory Information Systems. John now manages the Technical Support Team at Woodley and the Field Service Technicians at Quantum Diagnostics.
