Julie trained as a journalist initially and after seven years decided to make the move into the NHS. She worked in Clinical Research and Development, supporting Trusts to increase the research opportunities they offer their patients enabling them to access the latest treatments, and ensured the highest levels of operational excellence. Completing 20 years of NHS service, Julie left her role as Deputy Chief Operating Officer working across complex health and care settings to take on the role of Hospital Director at Blaise Referrals. Her aim was to take all the experience from the NHS and human medicine, and transfer this into the veterinary world, an area close to Julie's heart. She is commited to delivering excellent care for all pets and owners through an inspired, engaged and motivated workforce.
