Julia Wrathall
Applied animal welfare scientist and independent animal welfare consultant
Julia has a background in applied animal welfare science and is an animal welfare consultant covering a wide range of species and issues. She worked in the RSPCA's Science and Policy team for many years, including as Head of Farm Animals and then Chief Scientific Officer. She was involved in development and implementation of the organisation's farm animal welfare standards and engaged extensively with the farming industry, vets, food retailers and researchers. She currently serves on the Animal Health and Welfare Board for England (AHWBE) and the Animal Welfare Committee (AWC). She is also a 'positive reinforcement' dog training instructor and a serious cricket fan!
