Kay started her role as a BVNA regional advocate at the beginning of this 2025, she was inspired to join the team after winning best presentation at 2024's BVNA Congress, Research Bites competition. She works full time on the senior nursing team at Debenham Veterinary Practice, an independent practice with both first opinion and referral nursing in ophthalmology, soft tissue and orthopaedics. Kay developed an interest in quality improvement during her previous director role and was highly commended in the RCVS QI Knowledge awards 2020 for her projects on dental analgesia and use of antibiotics during dental procedures.
