Kelly qualified in early 2001, spending several years in first opinion practice as assessor, internal verifier, and head nurse. In 2008 Kelly embarked on her teaching career, gaining her teaching diploma in 2010. In 2014 Kelly achieved her BSc (Hons) in veterinary nursing and soon returned to clinical practice as a medicine and oncology nurse at the RVC. Kelly obtained the additional role of clinical educator in 2016 and Teaching Fellow in 2023, whilst also achieving her PgDip in Veterinary Education. Kelly is passionate about student nurse training and encouraging knowledge application and decision making in practice, whilst her clinical passions lie within internal medicine - specifically endocrinology, immune-mediated disease, and oncology.
