Kieran is an internationally renowned cardiology specialist and has spoken all over the world on various cardiology topics. He has a broad experience of cardiac disease and interventional cardiovascular procedures. Snce 2018, Kiean has been a pioneer of transpulmonic stent angioplasty in dogs with pulmonic stenosis, and over the last 7-years he has taught veterinarians from 28 countries to perform the technique, now widely accepted as a first-line intervention for dogs with challenging anatomical variants of pulmonic stenosis. In 2023, he developed and co-hosted the first podcast dedicated to veterinary cardiology, The Animal Heartbeat, and alongside his co-host won the 2024 UK Bright Minds Industry Influencer Award. Kieran works as a Cardiology Consultant at Bristol Veterinary Specialists, and contributes to consultancy work in cardiology for VetOracle. He and his colleagues continue to develop and refine the quality of care offered to dogs and cats with cardiac disease, and in 2025 began a minimally invasive mitral valve repair programme in collaboration with colleagues at the RVC.
