Laura is an experienced RVN currently working as an ECC-focused ward nurse at Granta Veterinary Specialists in Cambridgeshire. She qualified in 2010 and started her career in internal medicine at a specialist referral centre. Throughout her long career in a referral setting, she worked in both the internal medicine and emergency/critical care departments before a brief stint out of clinics. She returned to clinical practice in 2025, starting in a local general practice before returning to referral in late 2025. In 2017, Laura achieved her Veterinary Technician Specialist certification in small animal internal medicine and became a member of the Academy of Internal Medicine for Veterinary Technicians. Although she enjoys all aspects of internal medicine, she has a particular passion for emergent medical cases and their inpatient care.
