Lisa joined the Royal Veterinary College's, Queen Mother Hospital for Animals as a dedicated anaesthesia nurse in February 2010. Previous to this, Lisa spent 7 years in a busy primary care practice. In 2013, Lisa was promoted to Head Anaesthesia Nurse and now leads a team of anaesthesia nurses and patient care assistants. In 2012 Lisa became board certified as a Veterinary Technician Specialist in Anaesthesia and Analgesia, and in 2020 Lisa studied for, and graduated with a Post Graduate certificate in Veterinary Education and became a member of the FHEA. Lisa has lectured on many anaesthesia topics both nationally and internationally, as well as authoring articles and has recently contributed two chapters in an anaesthesia nursing text book. Lisa has a keen interest in pain management and is passionate about promoting and inspiring nurses to learn new skills and start performing local anaesthetic techniques.
