Liz worked in first opinion farm animal practice for 16 years. In the latter years much of her time was spent providing flock health visits and a range of veterinary services to a large sheep farming client base. In 2018 she left practice to pursue a full time PhD funded by BBSRC and AHDB Beef & Lamb, which involved running a clinical trial to test an alternative footrot vaccine under field conditions. Liz took up the post of VIO at Starcross Veterinary Investigation Centre in June 2022.
