Since graduating from the University of Nottingham 2014, Lucy has worked as a first opinion, companion animal vet with a particular interest in client communication. Outside of clinical work Lucy is a regular columnist for Vet Record and has written about various issues affecting the veterinary profession in the national press. Her piece on the feminisation of the profession was runner up for the Cassandra Jardine prize, an award for young female writers who show particular promise. She was also recently selected to represent the East of England on the British Veterinary Association council
