Madeleine is a practicing veterinarian; a RCVS and EBVS Recognised Specialist in Animal Welfare Science, Ethics and Law; and Professor of Veterinary Ethics at Nottingham Veterinary School. She teaches applied veterinary ethics to undergraduates and postgraduates and also, through her consultancy Empathy Veterinary Ethics, provides veterinary clinical ethics services to practices.
