Neerja Muncaster

BVMS PGCert VetEd FHEA MRCVS, Senior Lecturer in Veterinary Clinical Practice, Co-Admissions Tutor, University of Surrey
Neerja is a small animal veterinary surgeon who has been in clinical practice since graduation in 2002. She joined the University of Surrey in 2018, supporting the final years through their clinical placements. She finds mentoring the next generation of vets to be day one ready, extremely rewarding. She is also one of the Admissions tutors at the vet school. In addition to championing Schwartz rounds at Surrey Vet School, Neerja is involved in the development of immersive simulation sessions and integration of human factors teaching into the curriculum. She is keen to evaluate the impact of these areas of learning on veterinary graduates and how this influences veterinary practice culture. Neerja is passionate about equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) and chairs the Vet Schools Council's EDI committee.
