Having grown up on a dairy farm in southwest Wales, Non has always had a strong connection to the cattle industry. A graduate of the University of Bristol, she spent nine years in veterinary practice, much of it in farm animal work with a focus on dairy cattle health and disease. She joined APHA Carmarthen in 2022 as a Veterinary Investigation Officer and is now Veterinary Lead of the Cattle Expert Group within APHA's Surveillance Intelligence Unit. Her interests include cattle health surveillance, emerging disease threats and diagnostic challenges, including the bovine abortion case presented at this conference.
