Olivia Anderson-Nathan
Veterinary Surgeon; Vice-Chair,
British Veterinary Chronic Illness Support (BVCIS)
Olivia Anderson-Nathan helped set up British Veterinary Chronic Illness Support (BVCIS) as a charity and currently serves as trustee and Vice-chair, and leads their employer training wing. Living with an energy-limiting chronic illness and acting as a representative for the 'Spoonie' community has given her valuable insight into how diversity can strengthen the veterinary sector. She also works as a vet in small animal charity practice, as well as teaching final year vet students on rotation. She also holds an MSc in Applied Animal Behaviour & Welfare and has worked in a variety of clinical and non-clinical communications roles since qualifying in 2016. She likes working with effective and diverse teams, naughty torties and very good doggos.
