Phil qualified from the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies in 2005, then he completed an Internship at The Equine Medical Centre of Ocala, Florida followed by a Surgical Residency at Michigan State University. Since then he has worked at Oaklands Equine Hospital and Rainbow Equine Hospital and was a founding Partner in Hambleton Equine Clinic based in North Yorkshire. He holds dual US and European Diplomas in Equine Surgery and is main interests lie in performance horse surgery, especially upper airway and orthopaedic surgery.
