Sam graduated in 2008 with a BSc(Hons) in Veterinary Nursing Science from Hartpury College. Due to her passion for advanced nursing, she embarked on the Higher Education in Clinical Veterinary Nursing and RCVS Advanced Diploma in Veterinary Nursing. Sam's interests lie in surgical nursing, diagnostic imaging and wound management. Sam provides CPD lectures for veterinary nurses and vets for IVC nursing programmes, national congresses and independent CPD. She currently sits on the editorial board for the international peer-reviewed journal The Veterinary Nurse and regularly contributes journal articles to the journal. Sam was the revision author for the surgical nursing chapter in Aspinall's Compete Textbook of Veterinary Nursing in 2016. In her spare time Sam spends time with her horse Charlie, has a rescue cat called Toby and is a keen marathon runner and ultra marathoner.
