Scott Kilpatrick graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 2007. After early work in emergency practice, he completed a residency in Small Animal Internal Medicine at the University of Edinburgh alongside a Master’s degree focused on canine liver disease. He became a Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in 2016 and was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons in 2023. Scott is Director of The Veterinary Thought Exchange and works as an Internal Medicine clinician at Westcoast Animal Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Hospital in Canada, with a focus on patient-centred care and the management of chronic disease.
