Sophie graduated as a veterinary surgeon from Cambridge University in 1998 and worked initially in mixed practice and then more recently in small animal general practice in Devon, Cornwall and Lancashire. In 2018, she was employed by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons as a Practice Standards Scheme Assessor and then joined the Veterinary Defence Society as a Claims Advisor a year later. More recently, she has taken on the role of Membership Liaison Manager, as well as continuing to provide claims and complaint handling advice to the VDS members.
