Sophie Le Calvez

Dr. Le Calvez has qualified as DMV from the University of Liege in Belgium in 2001. She moved back to France to complete a one-year rotating Internship in Small Animals at the National Veterinary School of Lyon and worked in a busy private practice covering night and weekend emergency duties. She then undertook a 3-year Residency Programme in Anatomic Pathology at the National Veterinary School of Nantes. At the end of this period, she obtained the French qualification of specialist in Veterinary Anatomic Pathology (DESV Anat Path). In 2009 while working in a veterinary diagnostic laboratory in the UK, she successfully passed the American College of Veterinary Pathologist Board Examinations and joined IDEXX as a Senior Anatomic Pathologist in October 2013. Her professional interests are general diagnostic pathology and comparative pathology in cancer research, with a special interest in lymphomas, immunohistochemistry, cytology and cytologic-histologic correlates.
