Stefano graduated at the University of Perugia (Italy) in 2006 and following two years experience at two private referral centers in Rome, he relocated in the UK to pursue further training. In 2010 he completed a rotating internship at the Animal Heath Trust and following a residency at the Royal Veterinary College in Emergency and Critical Care, Stefano became a member of the American and the European College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Colleges. Stefano is currently member of the Emergency and Critical Care Faculty team at the and enjoys every single aspect of emergency and critical care medicine, but is particularly focused on clinical management and research of sepsis, trauma and AKI, including use of renal replacement therapy. Stefano is currently co-director of the extracorporeal therapy unit at the RVC and president of the European Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society (EVECCS)
