Vil is a UK-based veterinary surgeon and public health professional with a diverse portfolio spanning mixed clinical practice, government veterinary services, border control, charity medicine, wildlife welfare, and One Health. A University of Surrey graduate, Vil began his career in mixed practice in Cornwall before moving into field and border-control work with the Animal and Plant Health Agency.
Alongside this, Vil volunteers with StreetVet, supporting pets belonging to people experiencing homelessness, and has contributed to marine and wildlife rescue through British Divers Marine Life Rescue and wildlife charities in Cornwall. He is also undertaking postgraduate study in Public Health at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, reflecting his interest in disease surveillance, biosecurity, animal welfare, and the links between animal, human, and environmental health.
