Peer-to-Peer Veterinary Learning at London Vet Show 2026: Inside Community Masterminds
Exchanges like these have always quietly shaped the profession, usually by chance - over a coffee, in a corridor or during a five-minute gap between appointments. At London Vet Show 2026, that kind of peer-to-peer veterinary learning is being given a dedicated space through Community Masterminds.
What Are Community Masterminds?
Community Masterminds are dedicated sessions where vets, veterinary nurses and the wider practice team can come together to share ideas, experiences and practical advice around topics that matter to them.
Whether it’s managing a team through burnout, returning to practice after maternity leave or finding the confidence to hold your ground with a client, these are the kinds of conversations veterinary professionals have always had with people who’ve been there. Community Masterminds are designed to bring more of those conversations out into the open.
Sessions run in one of two ways. Some are informal and community-led, with the discussion shaped by whoever is in the room. Others are guided by a facilitator, who introduces the topic and gets the conversation started.
Either way, attendees will have 50–90 minutes to explore the subject, share experiences and discuss practical takeaways. Networking time follows each session, giving conversations the chance to continue beyond the scheduled slot.
What’s on at Community Masterminds 2026?
This year’s line-up brings together topics that do not always fit neatly into traditional clinical CPD, but speak directly to the realities of veterinary life and work.
Sessions include Transferable Skills Through Hiking from Veterinary Voices, Cards Against Inclusivity: turning workplace problems into progress from Affinity Futures, and Who Belongs in Veterinary Medicine? Representation and Reimagining the Profession from BVEDS and Animal Aspirations.
There will also be opportunities to join conversations around Neurodiversity Coach and Connect, and Hormones, Wellbeing, and Veterinary Workplaces, with more sessions still to be revealed ahead of the show.
Each session is led by the community it speaks to, so the discussion reflects what truly matters to that group and stays grounded in lived experience.

Why Peer-to-Peer Learning Matters
Veterinary work can be an isolating career at times, even when you’re surrounded by a full waiting room.
Small teams and long hours do not always leave much room for mentorship or informal support, and that gap can feel even wider particularly for those in niche areas or communities that are still underrepresented in the profession.
Community Masterminds are designed to help bridge that gap by creating space for veterinary networking, peer learning and honest professional conversations with people who understand the challenges being discussed.
The value is not necessarily in finding one definitive answer. It is in hearing how others have approached similar situations, sharing what has worked - and what has not - and leaving with new perspectives, practical ideas and a stronger sense of connection to the wider veterinary community.
