Win a trip to Grenada

WVS

WIN BIG AT THE LONDON VET SHOW

You could win a two-week adventure trip for you and a friend to the beautiful island of Grenada in the Caribbean.

Attendees at this year's London Vet Show will have an opportunity to win a two-week adventure trip to Grenada with Worldwide Veterinary Service (WVS) for two persons by simply collecting a stamp during the London Vet Show from each of the participating sponsors' stands in the exhibition floor.

How to get involved:

STEP 1

STEP 1

Grab a Delegate Bag from the Registration Area when you first enter the main hall - it contains your London Vet Show Passport which you need to start your quest!

STEP 2

STEP 2

Visit each of the sponsoring exhibitors' stands listed on the back page and collect all stamps on your passport.

FunFact: Did you know exhibition time counts towards your CPD hours?

STEP 3

STEP 3

Rip out the competition page, head over to the WVS stand (take a look at the floor plan in case you get lost) and submit your entry into the ballot box.

Remember once it's in, there's no taking it back out, so make sure you've filled in all your details clearly and collected all the stamps!

STEP 4

STEP 4

Visit the theatre on the second day of the show (refer to your show guide for timings) where a lucky winner will be randomly selected to win a two-week trip to the Galapagos Islands!

About Your Stay

You will also get a chance to explore the island and enjoy some amazing experiences as part of your trip.

Enjoy all that this beautiful, sunny Caribbean Island has to offer whilst using your veterinary skills to make a real difference for the animals that call it home. You will be assisting at one of WVS’ supported charities, Carriacou Animal Hospital, which provides the only qualified veterinary care on the island of Carriacou.

Carriacou Animal Hospital

The hospital is only a short distance from one of the island’s beautiful beaches and focuses on providing low-cost outpatient treatment and preventative health care.

Your work could include vaccinations, worming and treatments for mange, fleas, ticks, wounds, infections, ear mites and other diseases, and performing routine sterilisations and dealing with any emergency illnesses or injuries. A day in the life of Carriacou Animal Hospital is always busy, and you will be a key part of ensuring these animals receive the care they need.

Meet 2023's winner: Hayley Edwards!

Hayley Edwards won a two-week adventure trip to the Galapagos Islands for herself and a friend!

She volunteered at the Galapagos Animal Doctors while experiencing the beautiful island and wildlife.

I was lucky to be last years winner of the passport competition to volunteer with the Galapagos Animal Doctors! My friend and I had the most incredible time, it was so rewarding to help support a practice that does so much amazing work in the community. We also got to see a lot of interesting wildlife including the famous giant tortoises and marine iguanas

Meet 2022's winner: Laura Graham!

Laura Graham won a two-week adventure trip to Blantyre, Malawi, for herself and a friend!

During her stay, Laura volunteered at the BSPCA clinic near central Blantyre, experiencing the beautiful countryside and engaging with the local community.

She also visited the breathtaking Majete Wildlife Reserve, where WVS provides veterinary care for wildlife and anti-poaching dogs, using her veterinary skills to make a significant impact.

Terms & Conditions:

WVS will work with you to find a suitable date, based upon travel restrictions and availability. Any trip will be subject to local, national, and international restrictions and regulations. WVS reserves the right to change dates or destinations to ensure the trip is safe. WVS cover the costs of economy class return flights (to and from the charity placement only), necessary in-country transfers, accommodation, and some of the organised activities. Any additional activities, meal expenses, visas and vaccinations are to be covered by the winners. The trip needs to be booked within 3 months and taken within 12 months.
